17 weeks and counting ? My journey continues? | Bodybuilding ...

THE BIGGEST SHOW OF MY LIFE?

Here?s what it looks like at this point in my prep.

219.6lbs, holding consistent, (about 3lbs lighter than last year but tighter in the mid-section, with better roundness and shape in my quads and delts?so, feeling better overall)

I was looking through my prep journal from last year, and evaluating my photos as I move along the path to another show in Vegas, and I realized that each time I get on that stage, as I prepare for the event, always doing my best to put forth 100% effort, focus and drive, each event becomes THE BIGGEST SHOW OF MY LIFE.

In truth, this has always been my mindset as I would proceed through each adventure to my next show, I would tell myself that I am preparing for the biggest, most important show for ME, at that point in my life.? But now, as the 2911 USA?s approaches, this really is the biggest show of my life.? This USA?s to me means more than any show in the past, well, because I am a different person, in a different place in life than I was when I prepared to get on stage last year.? But then, it?s the same as it ever was.? 100%, every detail matters.

The beauty of bodybuilding, the challenge that really faces us in this unique sport is this ? How ?perfect? can you be with your prep?? How ?on your game? can you be, each time you hit the gym, every rep, every set, each meal, with your rest ? that?s the challenge, really.? And when you hit the stage, if you?ve done as close to 100% of every minute detail, every task and challenge you set forth for yourself, by the time the clock stops ticking and you get ready to set foot on that stage, you will have already won!

Here?s my plan at this point, 17 weeks to go!

Pete?s Training Protocol:
Sunday ? leg day
Monday ? (am)Delts, calves; (pm)Triceps, abs, cardio
Tuesday ? Back
Wednesday ? Rest (pm) Biceps, abs, cardio
Thursday ? Chest, calves (pm)cardio
Friday ? Rest, (pm) abs, cardio
Saturday ? Back (mid-back thickness); Biceps/Triceps

Cardio: 400 calories, 4 times per week

It?s a tall order, but I?m on it. It?s been a good week and tomorrow?s another gut-bustin? leg day. I?ll sleep in til 8am (yeah! ? Sunday?s a ?late morning? day), then I?ll get up, eat, cook, and hit the gym by 9am ? 2 client sessions and then BALLS OUT legs?only 16 more leg days til showtime! And it?s the BIGGEST SHOW OF MY LIFE!

Stay tuned ? I?ll keep the updates flowing!

Pete
